Bicycles on the metro

The regulations concerning transportation of bicycles on the Metro are as follows.

Free of charge

Bicycles are carried free of charge on Metrovalencia.

One bicycle

Passengers may only transport one bicycle per person.

How to travel

When on the platform, the bicycle must be held by its owner at all times, taking care not to inconvenience other passengers. Only two bicycles per platform will be allowed at any one time.

Weekdays

On weekdays bicycles can only be transported on surface-level platforms.

Saturdays

On Saturdays, bicycles may board trains and trams throughout all of the Metrovalencia lines until 14:00h. The rest of the day, bicycles may be transported on surface-level stretches. Time limits refer to access only so bicycles may remain on trains/trams after 14:00 until reaching destination.

Sundays and bank holidays

On Sundays and bank holidays bicycles may be transported throughout all FGV lines during the entire day.

Folding bicycles

Folding bicycles are considered to be carry-on baggage and therefore can be transported according to the established General Rules and are limited only when “in consideration of other passengers” introducing excessively bulky or dangerous objects into coaches is restricted.
