Drawing Competition “Travel and take care of the planet with Metrovalencia”

Rules

On the occasion of European Mobility Week, which is celebrated from 18th to 24th September, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana invites primary school students to participate in the 3th drawing competition: “Take care of the planet with Metrovalencia”.

The aim of the 3th School Competition is to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE and RAISE AWARENESS of the school community about the use of public transport and the conservation of the environment, in order to achieve a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Who is it for?

It is a competition aimed at primary school students.

Theme of the competition

The theme to be reflected in the works will be the presence of the metro or tram in Valencia and/or the municipalities through which it passes and how the use of public transport prevents the release of carbon dioxide into the environment.

Competition evaluation and judging criteria

The competition judging process will be held on 12th September, where a jury made up of 2 representatives of FGV and a person from the Association of Illustrators of the Valencian Community will choose the prize-winning works. They will be chosen on the basis of criteria to promote the environmental objectives of the competition.

To evaluate the works submitted, the jury will take into account:

  • Originality and creativity in the development and presentation of the work.
  • The effort and performance required for the project.
  • School year and special education will be considered.
  • Entries that are not related to the theme of the competition, and/or that contain images or text that may be considered offensive, degrading or in bad taste shall automatically be disqualified.

Submission of the works (Until 21st June)

The works will be sent in digital format, scanned, not photographed and at a high resolution (300 DPI). Send your PDF file, maximum 12 MB, to the following e-mail address: comunicacion@fgv.es.

They can also be delivered at the Customer Areas of Colón, Xàtiva, Alacant and at Benimaclet customer service.

The following data must be indicated in the e-mail message together with the work sent or delivered:

  • Name and full address (street, postal code, town and province)
  • Age
  • School year
  • Contact telephone number

Prizes

There will be three prizes which will consist of:

One bicycle and a bag of promotional materials for each winner. In addition, the 1st-place drawing will be chosen to appear on an FGV tram.

Participation schedule

  • Submission of works: until 21st June.
  • Judging of the competition: 12th September.
  • Publication and communication to winners: 13th September.
  • Prize-giving ceremony: from 18th to 22nd September.

Prize-giving ceremony (from 18th to 22nd September)

A prize-giving ceremony will be held.

It is necessary to prove the authorship of the prize-winning works. In the case of winning works, the presentation of the original is required in order to receive the prize.

Other specifications

The organisation reserves the right to make changes to these rules or add subsequent annexes regarding guidelines and prizes, provided that they are justified or not detrimental to the participants, and duly communicated to them during the course of the competition. In the event that the competition cannot take place, either for any reason beyond the control of the organisation, and which affects the normal running of the competition, the organiser reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the competition.

In any case, the organisation reserves the right to suspend the competition for any reason, communicating it in advance on its website.

With regard to intellectual, industrial and image property rights

The participating students grant the organisation free of charge all the necessary rights for the works sent to be published in FGV’s communication channels, to be exhibited if so considered, or to feature on a unit of the company’s rolling stock.

By merely participating, it is understood that the contestant has all the necessary authorisations from the parents or guardians.

The organisers may take photographs of the prize-giving ceremony and publish them free of charge through their communication channels. If the parent or guardian is not interested in appearing in the photographs, he/she must expressly state this.

Your e-mail address and your personal data will be processed by the Manager of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).

As winners of the Competition, by accepting the prize, they authorise the organisation to publish their name or pseudonym and their photo on the internet, social networks and any communication channel of FGV.

Acceptance of the rules

Participation in this Competition implies full acceptance of these rules.
