Night Service returns starting August 1

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) will resume operating the Metrovalencia network’s night metro and tram service on weekends and holiday eves starting Friday, August 1.

Following the floods of October 29, this special service temporarily ceased operations. Now that traffic has been restored across the entire network since June 27, FGV is now ready to offer these services, extending the service of trains and trams until 3:00 a.m.

Service Features

The planned night service offers the same schedules as before its interruption last year. The extended schedule allows trains to run every 10 to 20 minutes through the city center, starting with the last regular service before midnight, on the routes to the Airport, Torrent, Torrent Avinguda, Empalme, and Marítim.

Towards Alboraia, the frequency ranges between 15 and 30 minutes. Trains run every 40 minutes to the Seminari-CEU and Paterna stations. In addition, there are trains every 80 minutes to Picassent, Bétera, Llíria, Rafelbunyol, and Riba-roja de Túria.

The last tram journeys through Valencia city center, at Àngel Guimerà station, to the various destinations, take place between 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.

On the tram lines, the units run at intervals of 40 minutes on all lines, while on the Trinitat-Doctor Lluch and Marítim-Canyamelar sections, the frequency is every 20 minutes. Line 4 runs between Doctor Lluch and Vicent Andrés Estellés, except for the last tram in service, which will reach Mas del Rosari.

The last tram journeys through the Benimaclet stop, to the various destinations, take place around 2:30 a.m.

Modifications due to Works in August

Due to the works being carried out between the Aragó and Marítim stations on Lines 5 and 7, service on this system will be suspended at the station located on Avenida de Aragón until August 31, the completion date.

Similarly, the works between Masies and Bétera on Line 1, also underway until August 31, will mean that trains will terminate their journey in Masies, except from August 15 to 18, when, due to the Bétera festival, alternative buses will operate on those nights.
