The program of guided visits to Metrovalencia’s facilities is aimed at primary school students, with the objective of disseminating the value of public transport, especially the metro and tram, in sustainable development.

Metrovalencia’s educational visits program

FGV’s contribution to the educational community.

The educational institutions that request it get to visit the headquarters of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) in València Sud and see the facilities first-hand, as well as see the characteristics of the metro and tram network, while receiving useful tips for travelling with our public transport. In order to make their way to the facilities they can use Metrovalencia’s transport services free of charge.

This activity also benefits groups that deserve special attention (communication and language classrooms, intellectual disability classrooms, etc.).

To raise awareness regarding the impact, importance, advantages and sustainability of public transport, as well as the safety and good uses when travelling with Metrovalencia trains and trams, it is essential to start at school age and with activities coordinated with the teaching staff of the institutions.

As a public company, at FGV we are obliged to show people how we work. School visits, tours and explanations adjusted to the age and knowledge of the students are an essential part of these processes of raising awareness and appreciation of public transport.

We hope to return soon.

The Metroescola activity takes place every year from October to June.

Do you want to join us? To visit the FGV facilities and learn more about the metro, tell your school to send an email to and we will get in touch.
